With Christmas comes so many things: Gifts, decorations, lights, great food, sweet treats and unwelcome guest. No, we aren’t talking about your cousin Eddie, we are talking about the mice, spiders, ants and other insects that make themselves welcomed during the holiday season! Below are a list of tips to keep your home pest free and healthy during this important season and what to do if you find you have guest that just won’t leave.
Tip #1: Break out those sweet’s but don’t leave them out! Mice, ants and roaches can have a feast on the smallest crumb, so be sure to clean up after the party and use airtight containers to store your food.
Tip #2: Check out the Christmas decor. Inspect your Christmas tree or other decor from the attic before bringing it in- small rodents like to nest in the limbs, as well as spiders and mites. Give it a good look over before bringing it inside!
Tip #3: Check the ingredients! Check out the containers of your ingredients before using to be sure they are free from common kitchen invaders like Indian Meal Moths.
Tip #4: Seal up any openings. Mice can fit through shockingly small area’s. Make sure your home is sealed by using chalk and steal wool. Also inspect your home for signs of mice, such as mice droppings and damaged foods. For more info on our wildlife and exclusion services click here.
